Soaring to new heights, the review of the Adrienne Arsht Center’s 8cho Miami

by REBEKKAH MAR Thursday night, June 20th 2013, the streets of downtown Miami were filled with enthusiastic frenzied Heat fans crowding sport bars and cheering in the stadium. However, a few blocks away from the packed American Airlines Arena, one could see a group of people rushing to the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House for the premiere of the anticipated 8cho. Instead of sporting white Heat shirts, Adrienne Arsht ticket holders clutched their programs and showed as much excitement as the loyal Miami Heat fans as they rushed toward the Opera House to watch the “must see” aerial tango spectacle. One Woman: UN Women song is launched today in celebration of #IWD2013

"One Woman: A song for UN Women" has been launch today in celebration of International Women’s Day. The track will be globally available for download at http://song.unwomen.org together with the full song video and behind-the-scenes videos chronicling the song’s year-long production. "One Woman gives us a message of hope and inspiration”, says UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet. “This song carries a message of unity and solidarity with women worldwide and reminds us that equality, human rights and human dignity are the birthright of all of us, every human being. Ceci Watson-Espener, was born in Panama, Republic of Panama where she completed her high school studies. She attended Sacred Heart College in the USA and in 1971 she studied design in Rome, Italy . In l972 she studied Interior Design and Architecture in Madrid, Spain where she received her undergraduate degree. In 1980 she studied watercolors with Laureano Sastre and in l981 she studied clay modeling with the sculptor Berta Cotarello. Since l982 she has dedicated herself to creating clay reliefs, sculptures and some oil paintings. Her most recent paintings have been in the médium of pastels and dedicated to ecological themes and the portrayal of endangered species, particularly those found in the oceans and jungles of her native Panama. El Presidente venezolano Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, a través de la Asamblea Nacional, le dio otro golpe a la democracia en Venezuela, gracias a una Ley Habilitante, otra más, que le otorga superpoderes para gobernar sin control durante 18 meses.
